8 Bangladeshis apprehended

 SHILLONG: Eight Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended by the BSF while they were illegally traveling in a Tata Sumo on its way from Khliehrait, Jaintia Hills to Silchar with an intention to cross over to Bangladesh at around 7.30pm on Thursday.

The apprehended persons have been identified as Moor Mohmod, Abdul Aziz (20), Sumon Ahmed (22), Sujan Dutta (26), Juber Ahamed (24), Abdul Rasid (26), Farque Ahamed (30) and one unidentified person.

The BSF also seized Rs 64,000 and seven mobile phones along with the Tata Sumo.

Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to concerned departments for further disposal and legal action as per law of land.
