Nongstoin police arrest four

 NONGSTOIN: The Nongstoin police arrested four KSU leaders of Mawthradaishan circle of West Khasi Hills district on Thursday in connection with the assaulting case of 13 non-tribal laborers working in the BSC & C C, JV Shillong-Tura National High way construction company and also burning down of their tempoarray makeshift camp at Umjiew and Nongshillong on February 29 last.The arrested persons were kept in four days police custody at Nongstoin police station for further interrogation.

Meanwhile, KSU president John Fisher Nongsiang speaking to Shillong Times said that the four arrested members were not involved in the assaulting case but some unidentified miscreants had committed the crime to tarnish the image of the KSU leaders.
