TnT Sputnik drub Nongthymmai

SHILLONG: TnT Sputnik defeated Nongthymmai by 74 runs to register their second consecutive win in the Super Division Cricket League played at Cricket Ground, Polo on Wednesday.

Put into bat, TNT Sputnik scored 204 for the loss of nine wickets in their alloted 40 overs. Amiangshu Sen (50 of 63) scored a steady half century and was ably supported by Bijon Dey (43 of 72 balls) while Merlvin Mukhim & Burt Laitphlang with three wickets each were the pick of the bowlers for Nongthymmai. In reply, Nongthymmai were bowled out for 130 runs in 28 overs. Ranjeet Rai scored 32 off 46 Balls while Amiangshu Sen in an allround performance grabbed four wckets. Uttam Chanda took three wickets. It was a brillant performance by the TNT Sputnik who did not spare chance for their opponents to come back into the game at any moment.
