Two injured in road mishap

 SHILLONG: Two persons were injured when a truck (UP 83 H 9944) carrying fly ash wastes and boulders overturned at a turning and overlapped a Tata Max (ML05 H 5561) at Sawlad here on Wednesday morning.

According to the police, the driver of the twelve wheeler truck coming from Jowai lost control and overlapped a Tata Sumo injuring two people inside Tata Sumo. The incident took place at 3.30am.

The injured have been identified as Pilion Khongjoh (M, 22) and Tiewbhamon Khongjoh (F, 27), both from Mawlat in East Khasi Hills district.

The injured were taken to hospital for first aid.The truck driver is absconding.
