Youths urged to lead society in better way

SHILLONG: To make the youths more responsible towards the society, the All Meghalaya Federation of Voluntary Organization along with the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Shillong and the Nongkrem Youth Development Association organized a five-day Life Skills Education Training Programme for Mawryngkneng Block at Nongkrem recently.

The programme was organised with an aim to instill a sense of responsibility and accountability among the youth for the socio-economic upliftment of the state.

This five-day programme was inaugurated by Zonal Director In charge of NYKS, Meghalaya Zone CP Lotha in the presence of Myntri of Hima Khyrim Medistar Warbah, District Youth Coordinator of NYK, Shillong Dr Salam D Singh and General Secretary of NYDA Marcony Warbah besides others.Speaking at the function as the chief guest, Lotha asked the youths to abstain from social ills of the society at the same time, urged them to lead the society in a better way by inculcating a sense of love, responsibility and accountability.

The relating subjects of the topic were further highlighted by State Youth Awardee Kitboklang Nongphlang who spoke as the resource person at the programme.
