JOWAI: Over 250 technician students of Jowai Polytechnic held a rally in protest against the government’s adamant attitude toward their demands to take full control of the institute and to appoint a full-fledged principal besides regularization of all its employees.

Students carrying banners and placard marched from Jowai Polytechnic down to DC’s office and back to the Institute. Student leader, Oversee Malang informed that the government has not taken any step to fulfill their demands. “Since the government has failed to pay any attention, we had decided to come down to Secretariat to demonstrate our rights”, he said.
