TURA: Suspected militants of the GNLA went on a rampage in East Garo Hills district setting on fire as many as 14 trucks fully loaded with coal at a parking depot in Wageasi under Mendipather police station on Saturday afternoon.

The militants, who numbered between 7 to 9 and were fully armed with automatic rifles, entered the coal parking depot at Wageasi, 10 kms from Dainadubi, at 3 PM. They first shot the tyres of the coal trucks parked in the depot and then poured petrol onto the vehicles and set them on fire.
