SHILLONG: A twelve-year-old girl was allegedly raped three times by a police constable Toiling Well Toi at his resident at Mawlai Nonglum. According to police, the girl, a maid servant of Toi, was allegedly raped on three occasions by the constable between February and March 16.
The minor remained silent at first but after repeated molestation she reported the matter to police. The constable, a married man with three kids, is posted in East Garo Hills and attached to the Special Branch. Toi has been kept in police custody. Meanwhile, the CSWO has demanded stern action against the accused cop.
