Sr. S Syiem
Sr. Sophia Syiem of MSMHC passed away on Saturday after a cardiac arrest. She was born at Umden, Ri- Bhoi District on 24th May 1965.
Sr. Sophia joined the congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians (MSMHC) in the year 1990 and being qualified in special education for the hearing-impaired, she worked in Ferrando Speech and Hearing Centre, at Umñiuh-Khwan Barapani, from 1992 to 2010. She spent the last year of her life in Ferrando Convent, Delhi.
The funeral mass will be presided over by Archbishop D. Jala at 10.00 am in the MSMHC Novitiate at Mawlai Mawroh on Monday.

Kalyan Choudhury, member of the Central Committee of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) SUCI (c) breathed his last on March 30 at Kolkata. He was 69. He joined the SUCI (c) in 1969 after being inspired by the founder of the party Shibdas Ghosh.
