Hanuman Jayanti
Hanuman Jayanti, the Birthday of Lord Hanuman, is being at Lord Hanuman Temple in Garikhana. The two-day affair, which got under way on April 5 with morning Ramayan Paath, will culminate on the morning of April 6, the day of Hanuman Jayanti. Apart from this, the programme would include Maha Aarti, Discourses on Lord Hanuman, Bhajan besides a procession at 1:30pm and Prasad distribution to the devotees.
Body formed
A meeting of Professional Social Workers was held at St. Edmund’s College, Shillong on April 3 with the purpose of forming an Association in Meghalaya. The meeting formed a 9- member general body of the Association. The name of the Association however, is yet to be decided. The next meeting will be held on April 11 at Women’s College, Shillong at 3:30 pm.

Dwar Jingkyrmen in collaboration with IGNOU is organizing a ‘Workshop on Autism Spectrum Disorder’ from May 7-9 from 10am to 4:30pm. The resource person for the workshop is Mrs Indrani Basu of West Bengal Autism Society, Kolkata.
