JOWAI: A teenaged girl, who was arrested in connection with the rescue of her newborn baby from a toilet pit, was released on bail after she admitted to her crime.

Police sources informed that the girl, Patricia Rynjah, admitted to the crime only after she was shown pictures of the baby published in a section of the media.

Meanwhile, the baby is still undergoing treatment Dr Norman Tunnel Hospital in Jowai, but doctors have informed that the baby’s health was improving.
