SHILLONG: The Union Tourism Minister Suodh Kant Sahay presented an award along with citation to Balabynta Kharshiing, senior lecturer of Institute of Hotel Management, Shillong for the best teacher for the year 2010-11 in recognition of her meritorious contribution and outstanding performance in hospitality education of the country.
The award ceremony was held in Delhi on Wednesday in the presence of Minister of State for tourism Sultan Ahmed and officials of ministry of tourism .
The Union Ministry of Tourism and National Council for Hotel Management presented the Institute of Hotel Management, Shillong with special award for operational performance for the year 2010-11. The institute also achieved 7th position among all institutes of hotel management in the country.
