Union MoS for Defence visits Nagaland

Kohima: Union Minister of State for Defence MM Pallam Raju arrived at Kohima on Tuesday morning on a day-long official visit to Nagaland.

According to official sources here on Tuesday, Raju, who came from Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh, landed at Assam Rifles helipad at Kohima and was received by GOC, 3 Crops, Lt Gen Dalbir Singh and Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) Maj Gen B Das. The Minister then went to Zakhama to take stock of the condition of roads constructed by the Border Road Task Force (BRTF) under Project Sewak.

Raju later met Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar at Raj Bhavan and visited the famous Kohima World War II Cemetery.

He flew to Moreh in Manipur later. (UNI)
