108 ESA lauded for their service

 SHILLONG: Expressing its appreciation for the services rendered by GVK EMRI 108 ESA to the people of the state for the past three years, Kiwanis Club, Shillong recently interacted with its staff and presented them with a memento.

The function was attended by the Kiwanis Club President, Thomas Lim besides Suetta Albin and Deepak Singh among others.

Lim explained how numerous lives had been saved by 108 services since its commencement in state and why it was necessary to express gratitude towards these good Samaritans behind the “Wheels of Hope”.

He also mentioned how the concept of ambulances has changed in state over the years, especially from the communal clash era of 90s. He categorically stated that 108 has gained the trust of the people and now understand its role much better.
