Aid to Laitkor storm affected

SHILLONG: The Gauhati High Court has assured relief and rehabilitation to those families who victims of the recent storm at Laitkor, East Khasi Hills by way of legal advice and assistance in application for relief.

As per direction of the Court, the relief and rehabilitation work would be closely monitored by the Meghalaya Legal Services Authority (MLSA).

Meanwhile, a group of MLSA members visited Laitkor on Thursday to assess the damage in the storm. The team also met the affected families and assured all possible help.
