SHILLONG: To curb traffic congestion in the city, the traffic branch of the police department has notified the road from Rap’s mansion going towards new high court building at IGP as “no-parking-zone”.

Informing this on Wednesday, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Herbert G Lyngdoh said the above mentioned road has been notified as a “no-parking-zone” following complaints of rampant parking of vehicles on both sides of the road creating inconvenience to the public and vehicular movement.

”The no-parking-zone will apply only on the right side of the road. Only the left side would be allowed for parking of vehicles”, Lyngdoh informed.
