21 foreigners nabbed in Jowai

JOWAI: The Jowai Traffic Police detected 21 suspected Bangladeshi nationals who were travelling in an empty truck from Beltola, Assam to Ladrymbai in Jaintia Hills District.

According to Traffic In charge, Jowai Police Station, M Marboh informed the Jowai Traffic personnel detected the Bangladeshi nationals when they checked the truck whose driver had attempted to give the Police a slip.

All the 21 persons were detained by police after they failed to produce any valid documents to prove their citizenship. They were later handed over to the Infiltration Cell for further action.
