SHILLONG: A series of musical events will mark the birthday celebrations of Bob Dylan as the city gears up to sing to the tunes of the poet, singer and songwriter who turns 71 on Thursday. The celebrations would kick off at Cloud Nine, followed by an Acoustic music and Poetry reading event by poets and writers including Desmond Kharmawphlang (HOD cultural and creative studies,NEHUShillong) , writer and poet Kynpham Sing Nongkynrih and others at Shillong Café on Friday. The grand finale will be held at Orchid Lake Resort on Saturday. “The idea behind the celebration is to bring Shillong into the map of the world,” said Lou Majaw while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday.
