SHILLONG: Expressing concern over the recent hike in petrol prices, the North East Congress Committee (NECC) has asked the Centre to immediately roll back the price.

According to NECC, the hike will have a direct impact on the daily life of the people.

Meanwhile, the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has also asked the Central Government to reconsider its decision since fuel dependant transportation will be severely affected due to the hike in petrol prices.

“We are hopeful that the Centre will address the issue at the earliest,” the MPCC added in a statement issued on Friday.
