Shillong: Livingstone Thangkhiew on Monday took over as the new ‘Basan’ or ‘Elder’ of Raid Nongkseh after former Basan of the Raid Emerson Thangkhiew stepped down due to old age.
Thangkhiew’s took oath on Monday, which was accepted by Syiem of Hima Mylliem, Latho Manik Syiem who also handed over the Sanat to him in the presence of the several members of Thangkhiew clan at his office chamber here at Mawkhar.
