TURA: Irked over the absence of full fledged officers in various government departments in Dadenggre Civil Sub Division, the All Dadenggre People’s Movement (ADPM) has approached West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Pravin Bakshi to intervene and resolve the matter.

The ADPM through a communique stated that the government till date has not appointed any full fledged officers in the Dadenggre Treasury office including a Junior Accountant and a Sub Divisional Education Officer for Dadenggre Civil Sub Division.

ADPM members stated that the officers presently occupying the mentioned posts were either taking dual charge or had been deputed from the district headquarters.

The ADPM alleged that the mentioned offices were not functioning properly due to the absence of officers and attributed the problem to the fact that the concerned officers did not take their responsibility seriously as they were not appointed as full fledged officers in the respective departments. The ADPM approached the Deputy Commissioner in this regard and requested him to find a solution to the problems faced by the people of Dadenggre.

They also demanded immediate appointment of full fledged officers in Dadenggre Treasury Office including the sub divisional Education Officer.

Meanwhile, dearth of playing space for children in Dadenggre has also prompted the ADPM to request the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner to direct the Social Forestry Department to construct a children’s park at the Dadenggre Civil Sub Division Complex. The ADPM informed Bahshi that a plot of land adjacent to the Dadenggre Civil Sub Divisional Officer’s Office which had been previously allotted for the creation of a children’s park would be ideal for the construction.
