Personal interview
The personal interview for those candidates who have qualified the driving test for the post of driver conducted by the district selection committee of east Khasi hills will be held on June 22 and 23 from 11am onwards in the office chamber of the deputy commissioner of East Khasi hills district.
New Office bearers
The Meghalaya automobiles accessories association (MAAA) has elected new office bearers of which included President- F Kurbah, Vice President- R Basaiawmoit, General Secretary- S Phira Mawa Assistant General Secretary- L mawthoh, Publicity secretary- M Lanong and Treasurer- M Nongbet.
New Office bearers
The Rising Sons Social Sports and Cultural organization has elected new office bearers of the organization who included Richard Ranee as the president, Nazir Rynjah as the vice president, Sandee Dohling as the secretary, Harribert Rynjah as the assistant secretary, Michael Khrabuli as the finance secretary, Bonnie F Langrai as the organizing secretary, Arsenius Sawkmie as the publicity secretary, Samsher Dohling and Sanbok Nongrum besides others.
Function
The URS Mubarak of Hazrat Shah Noor Mohammad Shah (RA) will be held on Tuesday at the premises of Mazar Shareef, Lower Lumparing from 9am onwards.
Exemption
The state government has exempted the oil companies and retail outlets registered as dealers with the concerned superintendent of taxes from payment of the part of the tax payable on sales of motor spirit within the state at the rate of Rs 1.13 paise per litre with effect from Friday. This exemption is subject to the condition that the retail price of motor spirit shall be reduced by Rs 1.13 paise per litre.
Nomination
The east Khasi hills district administration has informed that the Indian Council for Child welfare, New Delhi has invited nominations for National Awards for bravery for children, 2012. Detailed copy of recommendation of award may be collected from the office of the general secretary of Meghalaya state council for child welfare at Lower Lachumiere. The last date of submission is September 30.
