JOWAI: The Minister for Soil and Water Conservation Dr RC Laloo on Saturday inaugurated reconstructed 100-year-old check dam on Syntu Ksiar – a part of Myntdu river.
The dam was re-constructed by the Soil & Water Conservation Department under the Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme, at the cost of Rs 58.602 lakh.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Dr Laloo stretched on proper maintenance of the dam. He urged the local people to save Myntdu river from getting polluted.
