Musical extravaganza to mark closing ceremony

 SHILLONG: A musical extravaganza would be an added attraction at the concluding day of the South Asian Federation (SAF) Junior Table Tennis Championship 2012 on Tuesday.

Bangalore based DJ Sam is expected to play numbers of various popular bands from the region on the occasion.

Meanwhile, members of the participating teams will visit various institutes of the city including Kiddies Corner, St Mary’s College, St Anthony’s College and St Edmund’s School, a member of the managing committee said.

Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma would be the chief guest in the closing ceremony of the championship scheduled to begin at 4.30 pm.

The CM would also formally close the first ever international sporting event of the region which saw paprticipation from all the seven SAF nations.
