Conference
The National Sample Survey Office (field operations division) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation Government of India, regional office will organise its regional training conference on NSS 69th Round in collaboration with State Directorate of Economics and Statistics at Raitong Building from June 25-26. Additional Chief Secretary PBO Warjri will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Natl statistics day
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India in collaboration with the State Directorate of Economics and Statistics will celebrate the National Statistics Day on June 29 on the theme Industrial Statistics. The day coincides with the birth anniversary of Prof PC Mahalanobis, widely known as the ‘Father of Indian Statistics’. An awareness campaign will also be organised at the Don Bosco Youth Centre to mark the occasion.
General meeting
The General Meeting of the KHNAM, Mawlai Constituency Committee will be held at Indoor Sports Hall at Mawdatbaki on Saturday.
Workshop
The two-day state level inter-departmental workshop on convergence of NAP and other JFMC schemes for JFMC and field staff of Meghalaya will be organised by RC NAEB in collaboration with Department of Forests and Environment from June 22-28. The inaugural function of the workshop will be held at Lady Hydari Park.
Award
The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India has invited nominations for Rashtriya Khel Protsashan Purushkar for 2012 in the field of community sports-identification and nurturing of budding or young talents, financial support for sports excellence etc. The last date for submission of nominations is June 22.
Office bearers

Rotary Award
The first three position holders in the MBOSE SSLC examination were felicitated with the Sailabala Rotary Award by the Rotary Club of Shillong, in its regular meeting held recently.
