FCI manager assaulted

 Shillong: A manager of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) (Storage), BN Boro was injured when he was allegedly attacked by unidentified miscreants at the FCI storage in Mawlai on Thursday.

According to police sources, a group of miscreants allegedly entered the FCI (Storage) at Mawlai at around 3.30pm on Thursday seeking an appointment with the manager, BN Boro to gather reasons behind the non-issuance of the lists of some fair price shop dealers of sugar in the city. When the miscreants failed to get a satisfactory answer, they attacked Boro who reported the matter to the police. Sources informed that no arrests have been made in this regard.
