Agri Hort Society organises plantation prog

 NONGSTOIN: As part of the World Environment Day celebration, the Agri Hort Society Nongstoin organized a tree plantation programme at the premises of the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Mawkyrwat recently whereby around sixty number of saplings were planted by the officials and members of the society.

The aim and objective of this programme was to sensitize the people to preserve the greenery of the area and its surroundings of the environment which is very important for sustaining the living society.

While speaking at the gathering, the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Mawkyrwat, S Mihsil briefly stated on the importance of tree plantation that would bring a change in the area and society as a whole.
