SHILLONG: As part of the ‘Year of the Youth’ celebration, East Khasi Hills District Sports Officer would organise the Chief Minister U-19 football tournament (both boy’s and girl’s) in the seven Blocks of the district from July 9.
In, Mawkynrew & Mawryngkneng Block, the tournament would be held at Madan Mission ground while in Mawphlang and Mawsynram Block, the tournament would be held at Madan Lawbah. The tournament for the Khatar Shnong and Shella Bholaganj Block will be held at the Sohra Sports Association ground while for the Pynursla and Mylliem Block would be held at Polo Ground which would start from July 16. In a statement issued here on Thursday, East Khasi Hills DSO GE Lyngdoh informed that the participants keen to take part in the tournament should bring along their certificates including birth certificates to his office in Polo at the earliest.
