SHILLONG: Agrha Chakraborty’s injury time goal helped Rangdajied United secure a fashionable win against reigning Shillong Premier League champion Royal Wahingdoh FC at the JN Stadium on Saturday.

Rangdajied came back strongly into the game despite being a goal down at half-time after an early 3rd minute goal scored by Royal Wahingdoh FC striker Bickyson, who came up with a fine finish following a through ball by Mala.

Rangdajied continued to dominate the ball possession in the 2nd half and looked threatening especially on counter moves. The game took a dramatic twist after an equaliser was scored in the 57th minute through a penalty taken by foreign striker Babatunde after referee C Syiemiong spotted a handball by Wahingdoh’s Bowari.

Babatunde eased the ball past Royal keeper Nikhil to make it 1-1.

Just as ninety minutes of regular play was over and only the injury time was left, a beautiful lob by Rangdajied’s Agrha Chakraborty saw the ball loop past Nikhil and into the goal to ensure Rangdajied United a memorable victory.
