 JOWAI: Two minor girls were killed when an empty truck hit the car (ML04B-2076) they were travelling at Takhniang in Jaintia hills District on Monday morning. The deceased were identified as Bina Bamon (16) of Khliehriat east and Pinky Siangshai (14) of Moolamanoh village. Bina was a student of Hubert Secondary School, Umpling, Shillong.

Two others Pretty Siangshai, younger sister of Pinky, also a student of the same school and John Siangshai (19) were critically injured. However, their mother Phahkima Siangshai and her friend escaped unhurt.

All were going to Shillong from Ladrymbai to drop Pretty, Pinky and Bina to their schools.
