London: Actress Rachel Weisz says she is shy about acting and is more reserved in her work than everyday life.

The 42-year-old, who recently married James Bond actor Daniel Craig, said she was never a performer even as a child and still is not comfortable with it, reported Showbizspy. “I wasn’t so much a shy child, but I was shy about acting. I wasn’t the sort of kid whose mother would put her up on the table and make her do a dance for everyone. I wasn’t the star of the school plays.

“I was generally very shy of performing. I wasn’t a performer. I’m still not really like that, I don’t think. I don’t have that ‘jazz hands’ thing in me,” she said. Weisz has previously said she struggled with “anti-authority issues” when she was a teenager.

“I was asked to leave North London Collegiate, but my mum doesn’t like me to say I was expelled. I didn’t try to burn down the school or anything like that; it was just anti-authority issues. I didn’t think the teachers had the right to tell me what to do. “I would just disobey, talk in the classroom, get very bad grades. I was not a good person to have in the classroom, to put it mildly,” she had said. (PTI)
