NONGPOH: The KSU’s North Khasi Hills District president Ferdynald Kharkamni has warned the State government will be held responsible if any untoward happens to Pynskhem Nongshlong and other who are on indefinite fast at Langpih.

Speaking to The Shillong Times on Wednesday, Kharkamni expressed concern over the apathetic attitude of the government towards resolving border dispute between Meghalaya and Assam.

Kharkamni, while lauding the People’s Movement led by Nongkrem Legislator Ardent Basawiamoit, extended support to Pynskhem Nongshlong and other who are on indefinite fast at Langpih

Firing a salvo at the KHADC, Kharkamni said, “The Council is not committed towards resolving the long pending border issue as no initiative has been taken by it even after one month of the constitution of the border committee.”

He further informed that the KSU is part of the Border Committee constituted by the KHADC on May 27.
