Governor fetes 120 meritorious students

 SHILLONG: Governor RS Mooshahary on Thursday felicitated 120 meritorious students belonging to Mawprem constituency and Ri Raid Laban who have excelled in various Board (MBoSE, CBSE, ICSE) examinations in 2012.

The Governor also felicitated former minister Anthony Lyngdoh in the programme organized by Ardhendu Chaudhuri Charitable Trust at Rilbong Community Hall.

Expressing satisfaction over the performance of the students, Mooshahary advised them to strive hard to achieve their respective goals.

All the position holders received computer sets from the governor, who hailed various welfare schemes initiated by the Trust.

The students who excelled in the Class XII board exams were awarded PC tablets.

In his speech the chairman of the Trust, Manas Chaudhuri said the Trust would initiate few more welfare schemes in the coming months.
