BSF relief for flood affected villages

 SHILLONG: The BSF conducted a flood relief programme under the aegis of Sudesh Kumar, IPS, Inspector General, BSF, Meghalaya Frontier at BOP Kuliang of 98 BN BSF, Commandant.

Floods had hit the border areas of Jaintia Hills with incessant rainfall in the recent past and one of the worst affected villages was Baskuna near Kuliang. The village was marooned thus affecting the border population causing huge loss of property.

The IG asked all BSF border outposts to render every help and assistance to the affected people in the bordering areas.

In this regard, he also visited the areas personally and interacted with the border population to get first hand information and assured the people that the BSF would always be there for help of the border populace.

The IG also distributed some relief materials to affected villagers of Baskuna which was badly affected by the floods.
