Bangladeshi tout nabbed

SHILLONG: The BSF on Monday apprehended one Bangladeshi tout Mohibur Rehman (35) from Jaintia Hills while he was infiltrating into India from Bangladesh.

The apprehended person is a resident of Sylhet, Bangladesh and has facilitated cross-border movement of a number of Bangladeshi nationals from Bangladesh to India and vice versa.

It may be mentioned that the Bangladeshi nationals from Kanaighat, Zakiganj, Companyganj areas of Sylhet and some from Sunamganj often come to India illegally with the help of touts for working in coal quarries in Ladrymbai and Kheliriat areas of Jaintia Hills.

A mobile handset with a Bangladeshi SIM card was recovered from his possession.
