Football camp for Meghalaya boys

 SHILLONG: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) will be organising a two-day residential football camp for Meghalaya under-15 boys in Shillong on July 23 and 24.

Indian football team assistant coach Savio Medeira will conduct the training camp that be held at the artificial turf in Third Division Ground, Polo.

“The objective of this football camp is to inspire and educate the next generation of footballers in the State about the highest levels of football in the country,” Meghalaya Football Association (MFA) youth development cell convener Sunesh Syiem said in a statement issued here on Thursday.

Syiem also informed that the boys will be put up in a hotel in the city where I-League teams usually stay to give the young boys a feel of an I-League football team experience.

The selected boys are to report at the office of the MFA, Jawaharlal Nehru Complex on July 14 at 2pm.

The players who have been selected for the camp are Frolicson Dkhar, Marbiangki Suchian, Founder Passah, Enestar Malngiang, Chesterpaul Lyngdoh, Jefferson Nongrud, Banshanlang Sten, Honour Lucky Nongbri, Mebankhraw Wahlang, Rimetre Thma, Henry Kharwan, Kamwadamonmi Pamthied, Carmelo Rymbai, Trewotker Pakyntein, Chanmetre Thma, Khlainbor Khongsit, Kiran Lyngdoh, Kostarland Lyngdoh, Rishanbor Lyngdoh, Reson Malngiang, Owenderson Nongrud, Marchsterfield Marbaniang, Richanlang Sympli, Superfine Suting, Kyntiewshaphrang Kharlukhi, Obadaiah Bareh, Emerson Nongrud, Hardy Cliff Nongbri, Deasa Banshanskhem G Momin and Duncan J Tham.
