Prostitution racket busted in city

 SHILLONG: Police on Friday conducted a raid on Hotel Galaxy in the city and busted a prostitution racket.

Police arrested seven women, some of them hailing from Assam, and three men following the raid.

The owner of the hotel, Raju Baruah and the manager, however, escaped from the hotel via a trap door in one of the rooms where the women had been kept.
