UDP delegation to meet Purno in Guwahati

SHILLONG: A UDP would be leaving for Guwahati on Sunday to meet former Lok Sabha Speaker and Opposition’s Presidential candidate Purno Agitok Sangma.

“We are sending a delegation to meet Sangma who is expected to arrive in Guwahati on Sunday,” UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh informed here on Sunday.

The delegation would be led by legislator Donbok Khymdeit and MDC TW Chyne, Lyngdoh said.

Sangma, who has been supported by the BJP, AIADMK, BJD, among others, will be accompanied by BJP national secretary Anant Kumar.
