Ezeani scores hat-trick in Nangkiew victory

 SHILLONG: Nangkiew Irat SC thrashed Lawmali Pyllun SC 7-0 at the ongoing Shillong Premier League in a match played here on Monday.

Nangkiew Irat, who started off the match in impressively, went into the lead in the 15th minute through a goal scored by Ezeani Chokeunonso. Eight minutes later Nangkiew doubled the lead through a goal scored by its striker, Suresh Singh.

Just a minute before the break, Ezeani scored his second of the match to guide Nangkiew to an impressive 3-0 lead.

After the break, Nangkiew continued to play an attacking game. Nangkiew open the scoring in the second half through a goal scored by Ezeani in the 53rd minute to give his team a 4-0 lead.

Four minute later, Teiborlang Shabong powerful strike from outside the box saw the ball sail into the net to give Nangkiew a 5-0 lead. Even that wasn’t enough for them, and in the 71st minute, Nangkiew scored another goal through Laldingngheta and six minutes later through Alfoster Sunn to end the match by a thumping victory of seven goals to nil.

With this victory, Nangkiew has seven points from their six matches while Lawmali Pyllun is yet to open its account.

On Tuesday Royal Wahingdoh will take on Shillong Lajong FC at 4 pm.
