JOWAI: One Hera Chale, who had raped a woman in Jaintia Hills in 2005, has been absconding since the time he committed the crime.
According to police, a case has been registered against Chale as per Gr.No. 90/2005 Under sections 365/366(A)/376 of IPC.
“The person has remained untraceable,” the In-chage, of Ladrymbai Police Outpost, I Singh, said.
While asking the accused to surrender before court or police within 30 days, the officer on Sunday sought people’s help in finding his whereabouts.
