Sonia may attend mosque opening

 New Delhi: UPA chairperson and Congress president Mrs Sonia Gandhi is likely to attend the inaugural function of “Madina Masjid”, the largest Mosque-cum-library and orphanage in Meghalaya , next month. Indicating this here on Wednesday, former minister Sayeedullah Nongrum said he met Mrs Gandhi to invite her to the inaugural function to be held after Id-ul-Fiter. “Work for the complex at Shillong has been completed with the collective efforts of the Shillong Muslim Union which built the same with the help of others, Nongrum said.
