BSF seize hemp

 SHILLONG: BSF troops of BOP Karaigora Ex-83 Bn deployed in West Khasi Hills district seized five kilograms of hemp while it was being smuggled to Bangladesh. The BSF troops carried out the search operation arund 2330 hours after receiving specific inputs regarding the same. Besides this, BSF troops of Meghalaya Frontier also seized 36 cattle, eight country boats, wooden logs and other contraband items amounting over Rs. 7.69 lakh during the past week.
