Chopper fares

The Managing Director of the Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) has informed that the Pawan Hans helicopter service for Shillong-Guwahati-Tura will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays while the service for Shillong-Guwahati is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The fare for Shillong-Guwahati and vice versa would be Rs 1500 for adults,Rs 1000 for children (2-12 years). For Shillong -Guwahati-Tura, the fare is Rs 1900 for adults,Rs 1500 for children

Training

A short training programme on fruit and vegetable preservation will be conducted at the Office of Fruit Preservation Centre, Shillong from September 3-8.

The Shillong branch of Lekhika Somaroh Samiti will organize a cultural evening on August 4 at Deva Kumar Das memorial Hall, Bishnupur at 4.30pm.
