Tura college students issue 7-day deadline

 TURA: A day after submitting a memorandum to the Education Minister Dr RC Laloo, the Tura Government College Students’ Union (TGCSU) on Friday picketed the office of the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner in protest against the State Government’s adamant attitude towards fulfilling its long standing demands.

The TGCSU has issued a seven-day ultimatum starting from August 3 for fulfillment of its demands failing which the students’ body will launch a series of agitations.

The demands include appointment of a full fledged vice principal, additional lecturers and ministerial staff and inclusion of geography as Honours subject.
