KHLIEHRIAT: A 20-year-old youth, Peacemaker Lyngdoh of Sutnga village sustained bullet injury after he was shot at by a government officer, Jameslywell Dkhar (54) of the same village at Sookilo village on Saturday evening.
Sources alleged that
Dkhar- an employee of PWD, took out his revolver and fired at the youth for unknown reasons. “He fired two shots and one bullet hit Peacemaker on his left thigh”, said one of the relatives of the victim.
The injured person was rushed to Khliehriat CHC and later shifted to Woodland Hospital, Shillong.
A police complaint was also lodged against Dkhar Khliehriat Police who immediately arrested the government officer.
