SHILLONG: The All Meghalaya Primary School Teachers’ Association (AMPSTA) has decided to sit-in for a day-long dharna on Friday in protest against the state government’s failure to fulfill several of its demands.

In a statement issued here on Monday, the AMPSTA general secretary FC Shullai said the proposed dharna, to be held at U Soso Tham auditorium, will be from 9.30 am to 4 pm.

The teachers’ body has been demanding head teacher allowance, thirty per cent arrears on the basis of the revised pay scale of 2007 etc.
