US Gurdwara attack condemned

 SHILLONG: The Sikh community of Shillong represented by the Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Shillong has strongly condemned Monday’s shooting incident at a Gurdwara in Oak Creek, USA, which left six people dead and scores of people injured.

In a statement, vice president of the Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Parambir Singh, termed the unfortunate incident as barbaric and said that it could be an act of vengeance against the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack on the US.

Members of the community also asked the US Government to take steps to protect the Sikhs residing in that country.
