SHILLONG: Malki SC caused another upset on Saturday to bring down Langsning FC 1-0, after beating Shillong Lajong and Royal Wahingdoh in their previous two games.

Malki nearly took an early lead after Samson was unable to convert a pass in the opening 13 minutes.

However, defender Joseph Idoni did it for Malki in the 40th minute after heading a corner from Timmy past the goalkeeper.

Earlier, Daniel Bedemi failed to convert Langsning’s most significant chance after accepting a pass from Moirangthem Singh in the 61st minute. Langsning were on the back foot as they struggled to create sure-shot opportunities.

On Sunday Shillong Lajong will play Rangdajied United at 4:00pm at the JN Stadium.
