Three held on murder charge

 SHILLONG: Meghalaya police in a joint operation with the Assam police on Saturday arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a driver of truck which was carrying biscuits from Lokhra to Karimganj.

The trio have been identified as Pynshailang Kurbah, Junbor Lang Wahlang (both of Mawlein) and Rosan R Marak of Nongpoh.

After murdering the driver, the accused first disposed off 900 cartons of biscuit at Boko, Assam, police said adding the vehicle was later found abandoned at Jorabat.
