SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), Rangthong unit, West Khasi Hills district, on Tuesday asked the State Government to upgrade the Rangthong PHC into a 24×7 PHC for the benefit of the people living in the area.

The Union, which met Health and Family Welfare Minister Rowell Lyngdoh on Tuesday, apprised him of the condition of the PHC while urging him to sanction some posts including one MBBS doctor for the PHC.

The KSU also demanded extension of the PHC building and improved medical facilities, which they said would go a long way in serving the people of the area.
